The Kyll River – special recommendation for fly fishing

The small Kyll river presents itself quite idyllically within Gerolstein County. A total of 15 km best fishing grounds between Pelm and Densborn is dedicated to the fishermen. Trickling water sections, sometimes more than 20 m wide, alternate with deeper, more slowly flowing sections.

The Kyll river fishing grounds are exclusively dedicated to fly fishing.

Fly fishing in the Kyll river leads you through an idyllic nature landscape. In order to protect them we kindly ask the fly fishermen to prevent littering  along the fishing sections.

The number of tickets per fishing section is limited, to allow a decent and undisturbed catch. We kindly ask for timely reservations!

In order to acquire a permit for fly fishing in the Kyll river you must possess a valid 1 Year German Fishing Licence. Guests from abroad may apply for a 1 Year German Fishing Licence in the Gerolstein Town Hall.
