Sommer Open Air an der Hillesheimer Stadtmauer mit Sang & Klang

Hillesheim

Sing & sound - from fairytale to unforgettable The Musikverein Hillesheim regularly delights audiences with its concert projects. Conductor Thomas Lach has now once again created an appealing and atmospheric concert program. In the fairytale ambience of Hillesheim's historic town wall, the association is organizing the Summer Open Air Sang & Klang - from fairytale to unforgettable - in cooperation with the Ladies & Gentlemen project choir on Sunday, 23.06.2024, 17:00. Both groups are breaking new ground. The Klangfarben women's choir, which is also directed by Thomas Lach, will open its ranks to male support and become the mixed project choir "Ladies & Gentlemen". An enrichment for the already great vocal diversity. The Musikverein can also look forward to reinforcement from former members and new interested musicians. The choir and the Musikverein will take it in turns to perform the concert. However, the concert will conclude with two pieces performed together.

As the concert title suggests, the audience can expect an eclectic and varied program. In keeping with the ambience of the city wall, historical sounds will be heard first. The final part of the program will feature a mix of unforgettable songs and catchy evergreens, including fairytale arrangements of well-known Disney melodies. Hits by Queen, The Beatles and ABBA are not to be missed here. Members of the Hillesheim cultural initiative will be catering for the guests. We therefore ask you to refrain from bringing your own food. Unlike the well-known picnic concerts of the Musikverein, seating will be provided at Sang & Klang. Admission is from 16:30. Admission to the concert is free, but donations are very welcome. If extreme weather is forecast, the concert will be moved to the parish church of St. Martin. A corresponding notice will be published on the Musikverein's social media channels and on the homepage www.mv-hillesheim.de
