ATTENTION: THE "APRILSCHERZ" ROUTE MAY NOT BE CLIMBED AT THE MOMENT!!!
The "Hustley" climbing crag is located in the "Gerolstein Dolomites" nature reserve. Here you have a unique view of the town of Gerolstein and the surrounding nature!
The number of climbing permits per day is therefore limited to approx. 20 people. Climbing is only permitted after a climbing permit has been issued. There is a charge for the permit: €5.00 per day/person.
Climbing on the Hustley climbing crag is only recommended for experienced climbers!
* Cancellation due to weather conditions is of course possible! Simply call the Gerolstein Tourist Information Office on 06591 13 3100.
The following climbing rules must be observed:
1.) Climbing is only permitted after a climbing permit has been issued (you will receive this when you purchase your ticket)
2.) Please do not park your vehicle in the turning area or on the footpaths in Sonnenweg. We recommend using the parking spaces at St. Matthias Gymnasium (distance approx. 500 meters)
3.) Camping and open fires are prohibited in the nature reserve. Existing pitons, slings, footholds and handholds may not be altered or removed. The installation of new hooks is prohibited.
4) Please show consideration for the people living near the climbing crag. Do not leave any waste in the gardens and keep noise to an absolute minimum.
5.) Use of the climbing crag is at your own risk. Claims for damages against the town of Gerolstein are excluded. Every user declares that they have the necessary climbing skills and knowledge of the dangers of climbing.
