Stress-free holiday with dog

According to the general regulations, dogs must be kept and supervised in such a way that no one is endangered. In towns and cities, dogs must be kept on a leash on public roads and footpaths. Dogs are not allowed to run around freely without being accompanied by a person who can influence the animal by calling out to it. In the nature reserve, dogs must be kept on a leash. In our region there is a very high game population in the local forests. Similarly, suckler cow husbandry is traditional, so dogs must remain on a leash near them so as not to frighten the young cattle.

Our insider tips for your holiday with your dog

Tips for water lovers

Lake Kronenburg offers enough space for owner and dog. Although leashes are compulsory at the lake, it is still wonderful to fetch sticks and swim with a drag line. Dogs are only not allowed to be walked in the specially designated no-dog zone.

Dogs are also allowed to let off steam to their heart's content in the Kyll. But beware of designated fishing areas. Here, dogs must leave the water for safety reasons.
