Gerold, visibly tired from the hunt, sits with his clan in a cave by the warming fire, looking forward to his mammoth steak sizzling in the embers of the fire. Down in the valley, you can see several woolly rhinos grazing. On the distant horizon, a volcano is spewing fiery lava. It could have been like this many thousands of years ago when the Gerolsteiner Land was roamed by the Neanderthal man. We want to follow in the footsteps of these Stone Age people, visit their cave and try to find out together how these first "Gerolsteiners" lived.

The program is suitable for children aged approx. 6 - 13 years accompanied by an adult. The approx. 4 km long tour is not suitable for baby carriages.

This program takes place on selected dates during the summer season.

Registration is required: Tourist Information Gerolstein, Tel. 06591/13 3100, Mail: touristinfo@gerolsteiner-land.de or in our ticket store at www.gerolsteiner-land.de/ticketshop

Price: € 8.00 per child
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Meeting point: Tourist Information Gerolstein, Bahnhofstraße 4 (in the station building)
