Stadtkyll Wanderweg SY 1
Stadtkyll
On this circular hiking trail, you will always have beautiful views over the whole of Stadtkyll and the district of Niederkyll.
In Niederkyll, it is worth visiting the Hubertus Chapel (key to house no. 8, Knörr family). The chapel is a stop and information point in the "Roads of the Romans" project. Particularly noteworthy here is the walled-in Roman bust of a man on the gable end of the chapel. On the hill above Niederkyll, you have a view over Niederkyll, Jünkerath and the Hohe Acht in good weather. On the opposite side of Niederkyll, you can enjoy a good view of the climatic health resort of Stadtkyll.
There are plenty of benches to rest on along the way. The SY 1 circular hiking trail circles Stadtkyll, running through forest and meadow paths, but mainly over sealed stretches. For the most part, the circular route runs through open terrain, with little woodland.
