The Collectors' Friends Eifel, Gerolstein e.V. invite you to an event
"Introduction of the Mark 150 Years Ago"

on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
in the rooms of the City Archive Gerolstein (Hauptstraße 39)

From 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM and from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM, there is the opportunity to exchange old DM coins and DM banknotes of the Federal Republic of Germany at a 2:1 ratio for euros. In addition, experts will be present to evaluate your brought coins and stamps.

At 6:00 PM, the chairman of the Collectors' Friends Eifel, Gerolstein e.V., Dr. Peter Müller, will give a numismatic-philatelic lecture "The Introduction of the Mark 150 Years Ago and Its Development".

There will also be a small exhibition of coins, stamps, and currency-related documents.

On the occasion of the nationwide "Day of the Railway 2025," Rainer Bohnet, former managing director of the Rhein-Sieg-Eisenbahn, will visit the Ahütte Museum Station. Mr. Bohnet will talk about his decision to leave DB and switch to RSE, as well as address the current crisis of the railway and present possible solutions.
