Hike with the Eifelverein Gerolstein

This main hiking trail of the Eifelverein is relatively central in the Volcanic Eifel and thus at the heart of the entire Eifel region. This year we want to hike the 4th stage from Lissendorf to Hillesheim. We start at the church in Lissendorf. From there, we first head to the small "gold village" of Basberg. The people of Basberg won the gold award in the "Our village has a future" campaign in 2020. After a short tour of the village, the route continues via Oberbettingen to Hillesheim. The crime capital of the Eifel with its historic town wall, the imposing church of St. Martin and the ice cellar offers several opportunities for a cosy stop after the tour.
