Warm invitation to the Kreisler u. Kreisler New Year Concert 26 on January 18, 2026

Florin Negreanu - violin
Dr. Birgit Auernheimer - piano
Ernst Wilhelm Lenik - vocals

We will perform a wonderful selection of repertoire with works by F. Kreisler and G. Kreisler (and some others), bringing the joyful experience of Viennese music from the early 20th century to life. We look forward to a great matinee concert to celebrate life.

Ernst Wilhelm Lenik received his training as an actor at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. Throughout his long career, he has been engaged in cities such as Zurich, Berlin, Munich, Aachen, Hamburg, and Stuttgart, appearing in classical leading roles from Schiller and Lessing to Shakespeare, as well as in over 800 musical performances. His tours have taken him across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, most recently in the leading role in “God” by Ferdinand von Schirach.

Dr. Birgit Auernheimer studied piano at the Würzburg University of Music. In the Trier area, she is known especially for chamber music and piano accompaniment. For many years, she was also heard and seen at the Theater Trier as a choir singer in opera and operetta.

Neujahrskonzert „Unsere Reise“
Jan 18, 2026

With the new year, a very special time begins for the music association Hillesheim 1876 e. V.: 2026 marks the 150th anniversary of the association – an extraordinary jubilee, which will be opened with a festive New Year's concert. Between lively opening sounds, Viennese elegance, captivating Big Band ease, and emotional moments, a concert unfolds that impressively unites tradition and modernity. Familiar melodies meet concert band music, delicate arrangements meet carefree earworms. In addition to the musical enjoyment, the evening will offer a glimpse into the history of the association through a small exhibition, which has shaped generations of musicians over more than a century and a half. At the same time, the music association will give an outlook on further events that will follow throughout the anniversary year. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Tickets are available in advance at the bookstore Lesezeichen and Optik Mertes in Hillesheim, as well as at the box office on the evening of the concert.
