Experience great adventures with tiny friends!

Heinz and Theo are two Breton dwarf sheep. They are terribly curious and would love to show you their world. First, you will get to know the two sheep and bond with them. Later, we will take a small trip to the meadows with Heinz and Theo. A little walk in the green. There will be games and stories around the themes of the Eifel volcanoes, meadows, and sheep.

Duration: about 1.5 hours

Wein & regionale Genüsse – Riesling im Fokus auf dem Berndorfer Kulturweg

We cordially invite you to four special wine hikes along the Berndorf Cultural Path. This time, the focus is on a grape variety with many faces: Riesling. Under the motto: “One Vineyard, One Grape Variety, Three Facets – discover the diversity of Riesling. Three maturation methods, one origin, full of character and depth.” All hikes take place on the Berndorf Cultural Path – a route that combines nature experience with regional history. The path is stroller-friendly, with only a few short sections of meadow. As a newly established winery, we are excited to share our passion for wine, nature, and enjoyment with you. Landscape hike with the "Volcano Gardeners" of the Eifelverein through the volcanic village of Steffeln to the Steffeln Volcano Garden. The former lava mining at the Steffelnkopf has decimated the volcanic cone, which used to be more than 600 m high. This exposed the volcanic layers inside. The exposed volcanic vent was converted into an experimental and educational volcano. "Burg Kerpen-Wacholderheide-Enzian-Runde" mit dem Eifelverein Gerolstein

The parking lot by the tennis courts in Kerpen is the starting point of the approximately 11 km long hike. The route passes by Kerpen Castle and through a meadow landscape to Niederehe. The return trip goes through Loogh back to Kerpen, where the fringed gentian can be admired. The fare from/to Gerolstein is 3 € per person. Please plan for your own backpack refreshments.
