Nature, Water & Experience in the Heart of the City
Right next to the town hall in the city center lies the Gerolstein Spa Park, a green retreat that perfectly combines enjoyment of nature and experiences. From here, two of the most popular hiking trails in the region begin: the Gerolstein Celtic Path and the Gerolstein Rock Path, as well as the premium hiking trail Eifelsteig and the Kyll Cycle Path, which picturesque run through the park.
In the heart of the Spa Park is the Helen Springs, a popular resting place for hikers and cyclists. Between April and October, you can sample fresh mineral water directly from the brass tap here. It comes from about 90 meters deep and corresponds to the typical Gerolstein mineral water type: rich in calcium and magnesium, gently sparkling, and full of natural carbonation.
For families, the Spa Park offers a special highlight: the Water Playground on the banks of the Kyll. Here, "Getting wet is explicitly encouraged!" – a free summer fun experience for young and old alike. Brave visitors can cross the Kyll using the built-in stepping stones, while smaller bridges offer a safe alternative. In shallow areas, the river even invites you to refresh your feet in the cool water.
The Gerolstein Spa Park is a place to relax, discover, and experience, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and families.
