Day of Hiking - Hike around Kyller Höhe

The evening hike starts at the marketplace and leads past the dry maar Lier to Kyller Höhe with a wonderful panoramic view over the Hillesheimer Land, continuing to the Lavasand open pit mine Bolsdorf I and back through the Bolsdorfer Tälchen to Hillesheim. A social gathering is planned at the Eifelverein shelter.

Besides fantastic landscape images and the awakening of nature in spring, the hike will also address the issues of landscape protection and rock mining.

Hiking distance: 6 km moderate

On the Trails of the Railway from Gerolstein to Hillesheim - between Dohm and HillesheimThis year we will hike approximately 10 km along the former route between Dohm and Hillesheim. Along the way, Helmut Bell and Manfred Jehnen from the Jünkerath Railway Friends will share the history of the line.
