Krimiwanderung "Berndorfs Krimiwelt"

Sep 20, 2025

Hillesheim

In search of clues to the locations of the Eifel crime thrillers:

The Eifel - a murderous landscape?

What inspires Jacques Berndorf and co. so much? The only way to find out is to go on a hike through the much-described crime scene around Hillesheim. Our guides ‘Hella Blick’ or ‘Klara Fall’ will take you under their care and lead you to the original locations. Discover nature's murderous tricks along the way. For example, follow the tracks of insidious plants or solve the mystery

solve the mystery of the flying blood bear and co. The aim is to solve tricky questions as a team. Your ‘bright’ eye is also required. For example, in the Devonian coral reef with its animal and plant witnesses ‘captured’ for eternity. But this place also plays a criminally important role in the present. As you can see, the Kalkeifel is a mysterious region, just made for this exciting crime thriller hike.

Der Westwall im Oberen Kylltal
Sep 17, 2025

The Siegfried Line was a military defense system on the western border of the German Reich that was around 630 km long and consisted of over 18,000 bunkers, tunnels and countless trenches and anti-tank barriers. It ran from Kleve on the Dutch border southwards to the Swiss border. The complex was built by the National Socialists between 1936 and 1940. Our hike leads to numerous remnants (bunkers, anti-tank ditches, hump line) of the Westwall.
