Gerold, visibly tired from the hunt, sits with his clan in a cave by the warming fire and looks forward to his mammoth steak, which is simmering in the heat of the fire. There are several woolly rhinos grazing. On the distant horizon, a volcano ejects fiery lava. Something similar could have happened many thousands of years ago when the Gerolsteiner Land was roamed by the Neanderthals. We want to follow in the footsteps of these Stone Age people, visit their cave and together try to fathom the life of these first "Gerolsteiner".

The programme is suitable for children aged 6 - 13 years accompanied by an adult.
