Gerold, visibly tired from the hunt, sits with his clan in a cave by the warming fire and looks forward to his mammoth steak sizzling in the embers of the fire. Down in the valley, several woolly rhinos can be seen grazing. On the distant horizon, a volcano ejects fiery lava. This is how it might have happened many thousands of years ago when the Gerolstein region was roamed by the Neanderthals. We want to follow in the footsteps of these Stone Age people, visit their cave and together try to fathom the life of these first "Gerolsteiner".

The programme is suitable for children aged approx. 6 - 13 years accompanied by an adult.
