On 07.06.2025 the time has come. The Fäaschtbänkler play LIVE OPEN AIR in Birgel on the grounds of the Tannenhof and the Bielenhof-Alm. Look forward to a great musical evening and many unique moments.

The Swiss band, consisting of five passionate musicians who are absolute masters of their instruments, creates an energetic atmosphere that always encourages the audience to dance and sing along.

The Fäaschtbänkler are not only known for their musical excellence, but also for their unique humour and quick-witted lyrics. Andreas Frei, Roman Pizio, Roman Wüthrich, Marco Graber and Michael Hutter make sure that a Fäaschtbänkler concert is not just a concert, but an all-round experience for the whole family.

The band has already performed on numerous major stages. These have included the Nova Rock Festival, Frequency Festival and Szene Open Air, Open Air Gampel, Taubertal Festival, Woodstock der Blasmusik and the Brass Wiesn, Brass Palmas in Croatia and many more. These are all events and concerts where punk music goes off in a variety of directions.

And their popularity is constantly growing. Nevertheless, the Fäaschtbänkler have certainly remained the down-to-earth guys from next door. And that's exactly what their fans appreciate, in addition to their musical quality and the positive energy that emanates from them.

Night train travel was once the stuff of legend, with luxurious trains where kings and princes met divas, oil sheikhs, spies, and arms dealers, before the illustrious company increasingly shifted to airplanes. On long journeys that crossed cultural boundaries. After a brief introduction to the history of the most legendary of all night trains, guests can look forward to a 3-course menu, during which some prominent, long-deceased guests of that legendary night train are expected to make an appearance. Individual, short theater scenes will also take place in our train (unheated). Participation 79.00 € including meals, plus drinks as chosen. Participation only by prior registration. Verkehrspolitischer Abend im Museumsbahnhof

Dr. Norbert Reinkober is responsible for rail traffic between Cologne and Gerolstein as the managing director of go.rheinland and will visit the museum station. In his lecture, he will address infrastructure development, the opportunities of electrification, and mobility stations. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for further exchange and a social conclusion in the station gastronomy. Admission free, participation only with prior registration. Auf den Spuren der Eisenbahn mit dem Eifelverein Gerolstein

The 10 km hike leads from Gerolstein to Hillesheim along the former railway track. On July 1, 1912, the era of the stagecoach came to an end with the commissioning of the railway line. After destruction in World War II, the line was decommissioned. Helmut Bell from the Jünkerath railway enthusiasts explains the history along the way. We are looking forward to artists who will give the audience a "taster" in a short time slot: from poetry slam to music to cabaret – anything that brings joy to the audience is allowed here. All artists of the evening will pass around a donation hat for the arts and hope for generous contributions. As an audience, look forward to an entertaining evening of different genres. Refreshments during the breaks will be provided by the station's gastronomy. Registration for this event is possible both as spectators and as artists. We look forward to your ideas.
