Virtuoso piano artistry in Hillesheim – E-Hyun Hüttermann plays masterpieces from Bach to Chopin
An evening for lovers of great piano music: On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the internationally acclaimed pianist E-Hyun Hüttermann will perform at the Rathaus Hall Hillesheim. The program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert/Liszt and Frédéric Chopin – including Beethoven's famous “Moonlight Sonata” and Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor.
“We are pleased to welcome E-Hyun Hüttermann, an outstanding artist who impresses with both technical brilliance and subtle expression,” says the Forum Hillesheim.
The pianist, originally from Seoul and now based in Düsseldorf, is a prize winner of numerous international competitions and regularly performs on stages in Europe and Asia.
The Rathaus Hall Hillesheim offers excellent acoustics and a Yamaha piano, providing ideal conditions for this concert evening.

The railway enthusiasts Jünkerath present as part of their lecture series "Time Travel by Train" how traveling by rail has developed into luxury and comfort both regionally and globally. The lecture opens a window into the history, technology, culture, and future of noble travel. The lecture will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 3 PM in the Railway Museum, Mühlengasse 3a in Jünkerath-Glaadt. The speaker is Karl-Josef Bales, a former railway worker and recognized expert on the lecture topic. The lecture is not only a contribution to railway history but also to the cultural history of traveling in luxury and comfort. Concert in the anniversary year – 20 years of the Gerolstein Symphony OrchestraOn Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 5 PM, the Gerolstein Symphony Orchestra and the Prüm Chamber Orchestra will perform together with the soloists Kristina Benjaschewitsch (soprano), Sabine Berres (flute), Manfred Kochems (organ), and Till Habel-Thomé (bassoon) in the Catholic parish church of St. Anna in Gerolstein. Under the direction of Wolfgang Merkes, the musicians will present a program featuring works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the concluding concert of the anniversary year.
