How do wild bees live? And what makes a good bee hotel?
On May 18 or May 25, 2025, Uschi Börner invites you to her blooming natural garden in the Eifel. During a cozy tour, she shows various finished bee hotels and explains what is important in construction and maintenance. There will be no building done on that day – but there will be plenty of ideas and tips for your own garden!
When: May 18, 2025 (if the weather is bad, May 25, 2025), from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Where: Natural garden of Uschi Börner, Gartenstraße 11, Üxheim-Niederehe

In addition to an interactive introduction to volcanology and rock science for budding volcanologists, in this workshop we dedicate ourselves to individual accessible volcanoes and what they offer and can be seen in them. We will look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in colour, hardness and other properties and then know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin.Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended. On June 08, 2025 , the picturesque Eifel in Birgel opens its gates for an unforgettable experience and hiking day. The Historic Watermill Birgel presents fascinating mill tours and brewery insights from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Children can enjoy activities such as baking bread. The Bielenhof-Alm offers a varied program for young & old, and in the evening, visitors can look forward to an open-air concert with the Isleker Musikanten-Express. The Camp Tannenhof enriches the experience day with the Highland Games for groups of 2-6 people – from axe throwing to cobblestone throwing. We cordially invite you to four special wine hikes along the Berndorf Cultural Path. This time, the focus is on a grape variety with many faces: Riesling. Under the motto: “One Vineyard, One Grape Variety, Three Facets – discover the diversity of Riesling. Three maturation methods, one origin, full of character and depth.” All hikes take place on the Berndorf Cultural Path – a route that combines nature experience with regional history. The path is stroller-friendly, with only a few short sections of meadow. As a newly established winery, we are excited to share our passion for wine, nature, and enjoyment with you.
