Why is it so cold in the caves, what is the story behind the millstones and why do the bats feel so at home here? An exciting journey through time awaits explorers, adventurers and treasure hunters in the ramified cave system. But before we explore the caves, we will use a map and compass to find our way through the Fischbach volcano area. Distance: approx. 4 km.

The former lava mining at the Steffelnkopf has decimated the volcanic cone, which used to be more than 600 m high. This exposed the volcanic layers inside.
