From Aachen to Trier, the Eifelsteig crosses the fascinating low mountain range region for around 313 kilometers. The motto of the top trail "Where rock and water accompany you" can be felt in a special way on the four stages through Gerolsteiner Land. The direct rail connection via the train stations in Hillesheim/Oberbettingen and Gerolstein guarantees ideal starting and finishing points for individual hiking tours.
From April to October, the Eifelsteig hiking bus runs in the North Eifel as far as Mirbach at weekends, on public holidays and on bridge days.

From Blankenheim to Mirbach, the idyllic Erlöserkapelle chapel beckons, further on to Hillesheim, the growing Dreimühlen waterfall and the historic old town of the mystery town will delight you. Between Hillesheim and Gerolstein, the millstone caves at the Rother Kopf volcano, the Buchenloch cave and the Gerolstein Dolomites await, complemented by the refreshing Helenen spring. The final stage to Daun impresses with the Löwenburg castle ruins, the Dietzenley volcanic peak with its viewing tower and the Nerother Kopf.
