Special trip from Ahütte via Trier and Merzig to Lake Losheim to the Museum Railway Club Losheim, which will welcome the participants with a lunch break and then guide them through its railway facilities with various steam locomotives and other exhibits. Replacement bus service between Ahütte and Trier as well as between Merzig and Losheim am See, with a journey on the original railbus series 798 along the Saar route and through the Mettlach Tunnel between Trier and Merzig. In Wiesbaum, a fresh produce market is held every Friday from 4 to 6 pm in front of the youth centre. Numerous regional producers present products for sale here.

On site, you can have a good look around three different caves and find out what stories the caves can tell from 2000 years ago. Originally created by the mining of millstones, over the centuries the caves became an ice cellar and were highly valued as a refuge in times of crisis. Today, bats use the caves as winter quarters. The repertoire is colorful and diverse: compositions by Count Basie or Miles Davis, by the Crusaders or Don Covay – each piece receives a new, independent face in the jazz vitation arrangement. Saxophonist Jürgen Kill impresses with his virtuoso playing and brilliant tone. Norbert Brenner, sometimes on guitar, sometimes on keyboard, guides the ensemble through the songs with stylistic and harmonic precision. Bassist Alfons Hardt, an old hand at his instrument, provides a more than reliable musical foundation, and drummer Heiko Thurm adds an infectious groove to the whole. Plenty of reasons to experience these four musicians live. Admission free!
