With the first Eifel crime novels by Jacques Berndorf, a whole new audience suddenly appeared around Hillesheim, namely in Berndorf: enthusiastic crime fans! With the declarations of love for the Eifel, which the popular crime writer always incorporated into his stories in an absolutely authentic way, more and more curious fans of the Eifel crime novels came to the original crime scenes - the Eifel crime land was born!

The Eifel crime trail
The Eifelkrimi hiking trail connects 11 locations and is divided into two routes of 18 and 20 km in length. It is marked clockwise with the familiar logo and directional arrows so that no location remains undiscovered.
An accompanying booklet in a handy format provides the crime trail walkers with the necessary information: Map overviews, detailed descriptions of the locations, quotes from the crime novels and directions. You can purchase the accompanying brochure before the hike at the Hillesheim Tourist Information Office.
