The Crime Trail connects 11 locations with each other. It is divided into two routes of 17. 4 and 21 km. Route I starts/ends in Hillesheim and runs for 17. 4 km.
In 2004, the topic of crime took off in the Hillesheimer Land. More and more guests discovered the Eifel crime books as a travel guide and literally walked in the footsteps of criminals and investigators. The Eifel crime hiking trail connects 11 locations with each other, whereby it is divided into two routes of approx. 18 and 20 km in length. It is marked clockwise with the well-known logo and directional arrows, so that no scene remains undiscovered. An accompanying brochure in a handy format provides the hikers with the necessary information: maps, detailed descriptions of the locations, quotes from the crime novels and directions (available from the Tourist Information Office for €4.50).
In addition, you should keep an eye out for the beauties on the edge of the trail, because the hike truly leads through a picture book landscape.
Starting points are the Tourist Information Hillesheim and the town centre in Kerpen.
