An interactive and exciting nature experience, paired with well-founded knowledge, integrated throughout in lyrical verses and poems of various styles from his own pen!

A look into the pit of hell - the dragon's lair (incl. entrance and occasional "Dragon roar!" Since the Bertradaburg in Mürlenbach is possibly the birthplace of Charlemagne, the Eifelverein is organizing a walk with stories and legends about this historical figure. It is a short hike, allowing plenty of time to explore the castle and take photos. Not only adults, but also children are warmly welcome. The hike is free of charge. In addition to an interactive introduction to volcanology and rock science for budding volcanologists, in this workshop we dedicate ourselves to individual accessible volcanoes and what they offer and can be seen in them. We will look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in colour, hardness and other properties and then know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin.Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended. Photo equipment, magnifying glass, container for rock samples are useful.
