The two Eifel village policemen Peter Hornbach and Hans Mörtel have just started their well-deserved retirement when they are called in by the LKA Mainz to provide local support in a murder case: Patient Adam Trutschke has been murdered in an almost artistic manner at a spa clinic in Bad Bertrich. The trail leads to a gangster who has expanded his network throughout Europe. And in the course of the investigation, the two police pensioners even end up in Mallorca.
