Kraftorte - das Konzert

Mar 29, 2026

Üxheim-Ahütte

The Eifel is rich in power places – hidden, primal, full of history and natural beauty. The special flair of these power places is brought closer to the guests by author Regine Brühl through texts, stories, and a photo show.

Singer-songwriter Judith Marien accompanies the reading with her expressive voice. Intuitively, she improvises melodies to the images of the described power places.

Admission: €18.00 Advance ticket sales until March 22, then €23.00.

Participation only by prior registration. During the break, food & beverages will be offered (not included in the price).

Eifel Literatur Festival 2026 - Martina Hefter
Mar 13, 2026

Germany's "Novel of the Year 2024": this has been written by Martina Hefter, according to critics, with "Hey, good morning, how are you?" She received the "German Book Prize" for this in mid-October, awarded for the 20th time in 2024. With strong media attention and significant sales impact: by early December 2024, 150,000 copies had already been sold. Translation rights have been sold in eleven languages. 197 titles were submitted for the book prize. What it's about: the everyday life of a financially precarious writer couple in Leipzig. About the wife's care for her sick husband - and about con artists who are active on the internet, contacting lonely women worldwide and pretending to offer them love. Ultimately, they are only after their money. Which is where they mistakenly target the wrong writer... For the writer Daniel Kehlmann, Hefter's book was the most important novel of 2024: "There hasn't been a more deserving winner of the German Book Prize in a long time."
