A new year begins – with music that touches the heart. Mascha Corman and Thiago Leite combine two voices, guitars, and the warm timbre of the Brazilian language for an evening full of love and rhythm.
Thiago Leite, born and raised in São Paulo, met Mascha a year ago. Since then, they have been playing together and will embark on a weeks-long journey through Brazil in the spring to further explore the country's music.
SAMBA DE AMOR – a concert that opens the heart and lets the year begin with warmth and joy.

This is a hat concert, meaning the hat will be passed around.

Germany's "Novel of the Year 2024": this has been written by Martina Hefter, according to critics, with "Hey, good morning, how are you?" She received the "German Book Prize" for this in mid-October, awarded for the 20th time in 2024. With strong media attention and significant sales impact: by early December 2024, 150,000 copies had already been sold. Translation rights have been sold in eleven languages. 197 titles were submitted for the book prize. What it's about: the everyday life of a financially precarious writer couple in Leipzig. About the wife's care for her sick husband - and about con artists who are active on the internet, contacting lonely women worldwide and pretending to offer them love. Ultimately, they are only after their money. Which is where they mistakenly target the wrong writer... Neujahrskonzert „Unsere Reise“

With the new year, a very special time begins for the music association Hillesheim 1876 e. V.: 2026 marks the 150th anniversary of the association – an extraordinary jubilee, which will be opened with a festive New Year's concert. Between lively opening sounds, Viennese elegance, captivating Big Band ease, and emotional moments, a concert unfolds that impressively unites tradition and modernity. Familiar melodies meet concert band music, delicate arrangements meet carefree earworms.In addition to the musical enjoyment, the evening will offer a glimpse into the history of the association through a small exhibition, which has shaped generations of musicians over more than a century and a half. At the same time, the music association will give an outlook on further events that will follow throughout the anniversary year. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Tickets are available in advance at the bookstore Lesezeichen and Optik Mertes in Hillesheim, as well as at the box office on the evening of the concert.
