We invite you to an unforgettable experience in the famously notorious atmosphere of the 1920s with elegance, freedom, and a hint of naughtiness. Step in and travel with us through our (fictional) story:
All day, the station master of Ahütte diligently ensures compliance with all regulations for train operations – but can this be all that life has to offer? He has a great passion for art and secretly opens the station after the last train departs for a lively, colorful night of fun.
"Shimmy-Fox and Bobbed Hair"
For example, there is the author Frank Osthoff, whom he provides with his duty room as an office in the evenings when he works on his texts. Who wouldn’t want to peek over his shoulder, listen to the music of his gramophone, and browse through the newspapers & magazines laid out for him?
Jonny & Other Rogues
But there are also those who excite the people of the 1920s with their music, telling stories of love, the unfaithful Jonny, and a murderer. Artists like musician Winfried Bode and vocalist Anne Fink, who also perform on such special Friday evenings inside the waiting room or outdoors on the shady loading ramp at the station.
Dancing & Burlesque
The highlight is what persistently holds rumors, about who secretly dances in the station at night. After all, it’s the 1920s, and there are supposed to be women who perform expressive dance, show emotions, and even demonstrate self-determination in their bodies. Names of the dancers Janina Bienkowski and Michelle Mißlitz repeatedly come up. It is said that even one of the dancers might occasionally be seen in the station on such evenings performing a so-called "veil dance," which poses a danger to law and order in Prussia? Perhaps the burlesque dancer Parfait de la Neige?
Theater
Be cautious if you wish to dare such an evening at the station. Of course, this is only possible with prior registration, as it is a strictly secret event. And perhaps among the guests there are actors who might entangle you in something? Rumors suggest that some people seeking luck in deceit and trickery mingle in among such folk.
Improvisation
Perhaps the station master also needs your good ideas from the audience, should word have already spread and suddenly someone uninvited appears to end the celebration and restore law and order in Prussia and at the railway?
Readings
Alongside author Frank Osthoff, who will present an entertaining collage of texts from the era and his own works in the reading, which equally aim to amuse and provoke thought, railway enthusiast Karl-Heinz Nauroth may also share some entertaining incidents from the railway in the 1920s?
In short: We recommend not to miss any of this and to secure your ticket for this special experience: The fare for this time travel is 59 EUR per person and also includes a welcome drink (sparkling wine or juice) and a small snack in between at the cold buffet ("finger food"). Various cold beverages will be offered, which are not included in the entry price and will be charged according to the drink menu prices if applicable.
Participation only as long as seats are available. Appropriate clothing for the time travel to the 1920s is welcomed but not mandatory (no dress code). Age restriction for the event: from 18 years
