Interested citizens and guests are invited to browse through the holdings of the archive, view old photos and paintings, or exchange ideas with the present archive staff. Registration is not required. For more information see also: www.stadtarchiv-gerolstein.de

In addition to the two tours, the city archive will be open to visitors on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.. You will have the opportunity to view the archive collections at your leisure, look at historical photographs, postcards, and paintings, and engage with the present archive staff. Due to current events, the photo collection and a film by Jupp Simon about the reconstruction of the war-damaged high bridge in the years 1952/1953 may be of particular interest.
