Lissingen Castle is located in Lissingen near Gerolstein in the Vulkaneifel district of Rhineland-Palatinate and was built between approximately 900 and 1280 AD. The castle captivates visitors with its architectural styles, ranging from Gothic to Renaissance and Baroque. The double castle was divided into an upper and a lower castle in 1559.

In addition to the Renaissance-style manor house, the Lower Castle complex includes the castle courtyard, several farm buildings, barns, stables, and the castle mill, where grain was once ground. Today, the mill houses a restaurant and the estate bakery. The rooster loft, the large barn, and the coach house are used as a museum.
