“Late Harvest” – Old Seeds and New Guilt

During the demolition of an old grain silo near Frederike Suttner's picturesque Eifel village, the body of a young woman is found, who disappeared without a trace after a village festival more than forty years ago. Back then, it was believed she had simply run away, but now it appears that the truth could be quite different.
As a retired homicide investigator, Frederike is naturally curious and embarks on a quest for clues. But the deeper she dives into the past, the more resistance she encounters. Memories have faded, potential witnesses remain stubbornly silent, and some villagers have good reasons to let the old stories lie.
Amidst church choirs, village gossip, and blatant threats, Frederike uncovers a secret that was meant to remain hidden for decades. Yet some guilt cannot be buried.

Let the author take you into the idyllic world of the Eifel, which is not as idyllic as it seems. Follow Frederike's trail and look into the dark abysses of human nature together with Andrea Revers (who studied psychology). In her reading, she brings her characters to life and cheerfully shares anecdotes from the life of a female author.
