Tagesexkursion "Blick hinter die Kulissen der Eisenbahn"

Excursion by coach from/to the Museum Station Ahütte, including visits to a locomotive shed, a functioning museum signal box, a collection of interesting vintage cars, and a demonstration of vehicles from the former Rhein-Sieg Railway in the railway operating facility of Asbach, which has been rebuilt in the style of the 1950s. A former locomotive shed, a former signal box, storage tracks - on this day we will go to all the places where the heart of the railway enthusiast beats faster, but which one rarely reached as a train traveler in everyday life. Among other places, we will visit the locomotive shed in Euskirchen with a tour of the vehicle collection, the Witterschlick museum signal box, and our travel destination, the Asbach museum station. This will open exclusively for us with an exhibition on the history of the former Rhine-Sieg railway, a guided tour of the outdoor area and locomotive shed, as well as demonstrations of vehicles on the tracks. But first things first: we need to set our "route" - and where better to do that than in the former signal box of Witterschlick, which now houses a remarkable signal box museum? And before we reach Asbach, there is also a more than 120-year-old (!) tram that we will visit at its new, possibly still unknown location, which will also be of interest to railway enthusiasts. At both stops, there will be exclusive guided tours. There will also be arrangements for physical well-being.
