On June 20, 2026, starting at 2 p.m., the new fairy tale path in Jünkerath will be officially opened – with a joint walk with reading educator Ulrike Erb-May, music by children's song singer Uwe Reetz, as well as games, fun, snacks, and drinks for the whole family. The circular path, around 2.5 kilometers long, combines nature, fantasy, and interactive storytelling stations into a special experience for children, families, and guests from the Gerolsteiner Land.

That was hard work with hard stones - On the way to work with great-grandad Johann, we explore the Arensberg and its surroundings together. Among other things, we look at how the mystical tunnel was created and together we go in search of clues as to how mining took place here. A walk through the volcano from a new perspective, with exciting stories and games for young and old. We will look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in colour, hardness and other properties and then know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin.Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended.
