The water trail leads around the Landal vacation park to several water attractions and is easy to hike with children.
The water trail in Wirfttal, south of Stadtkyll, leads over 4.8 km around the Landal vacation park and focuses on the theme of water. The trail passes 2 reservoirs, the Ladbach valley with natural water treading basin, the Wirftbach valley (nature reserve) and the birch quarry forest on Sängscheid. The various manifestations of water, the proximity to the bodies of water and the different natural water phenomena are the focus of the approx. 2-hour circular tour. Another highlight along the way is the arnica meadow in Sängscheid. It is a very special natural area with numerous rare plants and animals. We also pass very old forest boundary stones, which were once used to mark the individual forest areas.
There are refreshment stops in Stadtkyll and at the Landal Ferienpark am oberen See.
The trail leads partly along forest paths with a water-bound surface and partly along natural paths.
Wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, surefootedness is required in some areas.
