The House of Ancient Trees is an exclusively rented vacation home and retreat center in the heart of the Vulkaneifel. It offers six uniquely designed guest rooms, six en-suite bathrooms, and spacious common areas for groups, families, seminars, and mindful getaways.

Location

Prümer Straße 6, 54576 Hillesheim—in the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark Vulkaneifel. Close to the Eifelsteig trail, volcanic maars, and the Bolsdorfer Tälchen valley. About 20 minutes from the Nürburgring, about an hour from Cologne and Bonn.

The Six Room Themes

Each room embodies the essence of a tree and features a private bathroom with a hair dryer as well as its own terrace.

  • Mammoth Power – King-size bed + sleeper sofa, up to 4 guests
  • Pine Light – Queen-size four-poster bed + king-size bed, up to 4 guests
  • Spruce Serenity – King-size bed + queen-size bed, up to 4 guests
  • Alder River – King-size bed + single bed, up to 3 guests
  • Buchenherz – Electric double bed + bunk bed, up to 5 guests
  • Eichenwacht – 2 queen-size beds + 2 pull-out children’s beds, up to 4+2 guests

Arrival & Stay

Check-in from 3:00 PM (contactless self-check-in via key safe; code will be provided in advance). Check-out by 10:00 a.m. Minimum stay of 2 nights. Pets allowed by arrangement. The entire house is rented exclusively to one group—no other guests.

Included in the price

Final cleaning, Wi-Fi, parking, and use of all common areas.

A guest fee (visitor’s tax) of €1.50 per person/night (ages 6 and up) is charged separately.

Bed linens & towels available for an additional fee (€18 per person)

    We warmly welcome you to our modern and lovingly furnished 4-star Eifel Apartments Hamburg, Munich and Cologne in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel, which is known as a great hiking and cycling area (Eifelsteig, Kyllradweg, ...). Due to the barrier-free construction, the houses are also easily accessible with wheelchairs and rollators. Our Eifel Apartments are located on the edge of the forest and offer you time to relax, hike and feel good in a quiet location.There are many leisure activities in the surrounding area, such as fishing, slipline, Nürburgring, escape room, amusement parks and much more. Restaurants and shopping facilities can be found in the village approx. 4 km away. The houses are accessible without steps and have several parking spaces. Each house has 2 bedrooms with TV, fully equipped kitchenette, living/dining area, shower room, parking spaces and spacious terrace. Particularly suitable for a vacation with a child and/or dog. Whether it’s the cozy SOLA vacation rental (80 m²) spread over two floors with two bedrooms and a large terrace, the LITLA apartment (approx. 30 m²) with a kitchen for two people, or the Fögur guest room (for two people)—there’s something for everyone here. We also offer our 4-star-rated ASKA vacation apartment (100 m²), featuring a wood-burning stove, spread over two floors, and accommodating 6 to 10 people. Parking is available in front of the house. For groups, we offer the breakfast room (ground floor, large gate). Use of dishes, cutlery, and glasses—including dishwashing—is available for a flat rate of 20€ per day.
