Eröffnungsfeier Märchenpfad Jünkerath

On June 20, 2026, starting at 2 p.m., the new fairy tale path in Jünkerath will be officially opened – with a joint walk with reading educator Ulrike Erb-May, music by children's song singer Uwe Reetz, as well as games, fun, snacks, and drinks for the whole family. The circular path, around 2.5 kilometers long, combines nature, fantasy, and interactive storytelling stations into a special experience for children, families, and guests from the Gerolsteiner Land.

A very special experience awaits families between the enchanted forest and reservoir: the new fairytale trail in Jünkerath invites visitors of all ages on an imaginative journey through nature and stories.

A varied program for the whole family awaits you at the official opening ceremony on 20 June 2026 from 2 pm: Together with reading educator Ulrike Erb-May, who creatively developed the fairytale trail, you will walk the approximately 2.5-kilometre circular trail along the reservoir and through the forest. At six lovingly designed stations, the fairy tale "Sixes come through the whole world" can be experienced in a lively and playful way.

Musical entertainment is provided by children's singer Uwe Reetzat 4:30 pm with cheerful songs to sing along to and join in with. There will also be fun and games for guests of all ages. Drinks and snacks will also be provided.

The fairytale trail combines nature, fantasy and education in a unique way. Children of pre-school and primary school age discover stories not just by listening, but with all their senses through movement, puzzles and interactive elements along the way.

All families with children, daycare centers, elementary school as well as holidaymakers and guests of the region are cordially invited.
