  • One sees a wooden walkway winding through a forest landscape in a curvy shape. The walkway consists of wooden planks that are about one meter long and five cm wide. On the right side, there is a wooden railing. On the ground of the moor, grasses, some spruce boulders, and small bushes are growing. Additionally, one can see birches of various sizes.

    Eichholzmaar Steffeln

    Idyllically located between the two Eifel towns of Steffeln and Duppach on the volcanic path and the "Vulkane, Maare & Dreese" circular trail, the Eichholzmaar with a diameter of approx. 120 m and a maximum depth of 3 m is the smallest and northernmost water-filled Maar of the Eifel.

    Gerolsteiner Dolomiten

    The rocks “Hustley”, “Munterley”, “Drohende Ley”, “Große Kanzel” and “Auberg” shape the cityscape from afar and form Gerolstein’s landmark. The most famous peak of the Gerolstein Dolomites is the "Munterley" - with an altitude of 482 meters.

    Growing waterfall Dreimühlen

    The Dreimühlen waterfall is probably the most interesting waterfall in the Eifel. It was formed from limestone deposits of three spring tributaries of the Ahbach. Due to the constant deposition, the sinter bank is constantly "growing", which is where the name "growing waterfall" comes from.
