Stadtkyll Wanderweg SY 5

The SY 5 hiking trail takes us to the Eifel heights near Schüller. From the Eifelblick Steinbüchel viewpoint, we have a magnificent panoramic view of the volcanic Eifel with its volcanic peaks.

The SY 5 hiking trail takes us to the Eifelhöhe near Schüller. From Eifelblick Steinbüchel, we have a wonderful panoramic view of the volcanic Eifel with its volcanic peaks. The Steinbüchel nature reserve is a special natural area with rare plants and insect species. The hiking trail runs mainly on gravel and water-bound surfaces and has a forest cover of approx. 70%. It provides a varied view of the Eifel landscape.

Special features along the way are the upper reservoir in the Wirfttal valley near the Landal Green Parks vacation park, the Eifel view Steinbüchel to the west of Schüller at just under 600 m above sea level - waypoint 7-Wege and the Hargartental valley to the west of the Wirft. The Wirfttal nature reserve is a special habitat worthy of protection for rare animals and plants.
